3:30 pm – 4:00 pm: Uncle Jam and the War Babies Band Music

Event Highlights:

· Jerry Beck in collaboration with the Teen Arts Group and other youth programs will present “Knock Out,” a ball toss project utilizing dolls that represent things people would like to eliminate form the neighborhood such as violence, racism, poverty, pollution, gangs, etc. The game will be approximately 8’ x 8’ x 8’ and is inspired by traditional carnival games

· Community Teamwork’s Starship Enterprise will make an appearance  

· Alison Nesbitt in collaboration with Lowell High School will present Rules of Engagement, a giant board game and associated life-size playing pieces which focuses upon the theme of traversing the high school experience.

· UMASS Lowell students and Revolving Museum educational programs will showcase a series of banners that celebrate the importance of community and neighborhood themes. Additionally, there will be a concert of UMASS Lowell student bands and a special scavenger hunt that explores the neighborhood and supports creative economy initiative.

· Latin Roots and Lowell Public Schools will present “Photo Ship,” a photo essay project involving local teens that showcases a range of personal, family, community imagery attached to a boat-like mobile installation

· Jay Hungate will feature his new mobile music bike utilizing a recycled an organ pipe.
